Amber couleur, unfiltered pure nature, very smooth, good balanced, hints of forrest honey, marzipane, sweet nuts and caramell, Sweet flavour, not sweet taste, beautiful drinkibiltiy, the intensity of the pine needles could be a little more stronger, one of my favorite beers!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Herber und harziger Beginn mit steigender aber mild bleibender Bitternote. Kräuternoten, trocken und adstringent, wenig würzig, spät nach Honig. Ein merkwürdiges Bier, das noch in Ordnung geht. 7/9/9/9/7/9

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
(33 cl bottle) Golden-amber colour, with floating visible little pieces of sediment. Subtle resiny aroma, with notes of maple syrup, vanilla, lavender, and something fruity that I don’t have a name for. Slightly toasted malty base. Soft carbonation. Lightly bitter, medium sweet taste. More subtle than I had expected (or feared) with regard to the taste of the fir sprouts that were used. Not completely my taste, but still a good beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 mL from mybier.at. Described as a "Scottish Strong Ale" on the label and brewed with spruce tips supplied from the Austrian Forest Service. Pours a beautiful amber with a quickly dissipating white head. Sweet with a notable pine flavor, I would describe it as a more refined version of a similar offering from Alaskan (Winter Ale).
