Bottle @ Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. Pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. Rough grassy and grainy flavor. A whiff of metal and bread. Dry and short bitter finish.

Very pale in color with a foamy and fast dissipating head.Very malty aroma, and taste that instantly bites the tongue. Lots of hops and lingering aftertaste. Mouthfeel is perfect for the style. This is a good one.

#95 Es riecht nach Naturhopfen und im Geschmack ist da eine tolle Balance aus Würze, Malz und Hopfen. Tolles Pils aus dem Südschwarzwald! Danke an quack-duck für die milde Gabe! Test vom 17.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,12,13,13,10,13 - 12,60

20x0,5L from the local Edeka. - This is one of few quality and fresh-hopped Pilsners in the SW-Germany that bears some typical traces of the local palate: medium-bitter hops meet dry, smooth, sweetish malts. I can never have more than 2 of these, as the final gulp from the glass always leaves me with a dry mouth- Tasty and expertly brewed, the foam has a pleasant rich and mild aroma, taste is grassy with some fruit, but oddly it’s quite the opposite of a thirst-quenching pils.

Pour is clear gold, little fizzy head which doesnt last. Clean, grassy nose. More clean crispness in the flavour, lots of sweet malts, a little butter, no hop character. Carbonation is quite still. Finish is dead short.

Hopfig bitterer Start, angenehm aber nicht sonderlich intensiv. Konstante Herbe, Grasnoten, weicher werdend. Lang anhaltende milde Bitterkeit im Nachgeschmack. 9/11/9/10/8/9

Great beer. Perfectly balanced. Wonderful hops, but not too bitter. Pretty complex for a Pilsener, but still very refreshing and quaffable. One of the best of its kind.

A complete surprise. Looks very pale, almots dull and boring, but the taste explodes in your mouth and fills every inch of it. The very best beer I tasted in Berlin at the Bierfestival.
