Undercarbonated, hops buried under unnecessary 8.5 ABV ethanol and sugary malts. A more sensible and tasty way was chosen in brewing their 7.0% (I)IPA, their Dunkel is enjoyable as well.

(Flasche) Es hat eine helle, zitronengelbe Farbe, es ist klar filtriert und hat eine weiße Schaumkrone. Das Aroma ist leicht nussig, karamellig und harzig. Der Geschmack ist ist leicht alkoholisch, süßlich und ein bisschen ölig. Bittere ist kaum vorhanden.

Sparkling golden with only the faintest film of head on top of the beer. Aromas of German malts and that’s about it. To be fair though, that’s all it needs. The typical German malt driven lager flavour is augmented heavily by a big heavy, warm alcohol drive. This enhances the flavour and gives it a finish that you just don’t get in the little brother standard lager style. This beer is perfectly drinkable, but is it perfectly memorable? Not really to be honest.

Dark golden pour. aroma is sweet, a bit of alcohol, some caramel malt, brown sugar. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Flavor is sweet, boozy, not enough maltiness.

Bottle from Quack-Duck, dekuji. Golden color with almost no head. Grainy, malty aroma with bitter hops in background. Bittersweet taste with notes of perfume, biscuits and toffee. Floral bitter alcoholic finish. Easy drinkable Doppelbock.

Bottle 33cl a clear yellow beer with low head. A very basic bock, just light caramelish with dusty hops and alcohol, nothing unforgettable, long barley sugar aftertaste, not much tasty than a Bavarian 8.8.

Malziger Geruch, süßlich und nach Honig. Süßlicher Start, honigartig und ein weicher Übergang zur malzigen Mitte. Immer noch süß. Im Abgang rosinig, weich und erst hier kommt der Alkohol zum Tragen, wenn auch nicht sehr stark. Recht ölig wirkender Doppelbock, dennoch erstaunlich frisch. Test vom 2.2.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Ziemlich süßer Antrunk, die hellmalzige Note fällt dabei erstmal unter den Tisch. Sie zeigt sich aber schon wieder im Mittelteil zu Genüge, das Bier bleibt auf zu süß-hefigem Level. Auch die komplette Würzigkeit geht darin unter, die Süße ist einfach zu kräftig. Wenig gelungen. 8/7/8/8/9/8

Golden colored with vanishing white head. Sweet and malty aroma with fruits and some alcohol, hint of toffee also here. Medium bodied. Flavor is pretty much same with toffee and medium alcohol, sweetness dominates.

0.33 l bottle. Golden color. The aromas of honey and tart fruity alcohol. Sweet honeyish flavor with some flowery tart fruitiness and toffee. Chewy and warming mouthfeel. A bit too much alcohol aroma and flavor for me.
