2L bottle @ HBF ’11 as ”Steigerwald Hefe Weizen”. Rated on 09.04.2011
Bright orange colour – couldn’t get the yeast out of that bottle. Aroma has yeasty notes, banana esthers and some citrus. Flavour is bitter in a harsh way. It has citrus, some yeasty notes, banana esthers and distant floral notes. Decent.

Draught at the brauhaus
Muddy orange-amber color, with creamy head. The spicy wheat aroma is quite nice. The body is soft, with light residual sweetness, with wheat character, but unfortunately also with too high bitterness that kills this kind of soft beer.

[ As Waldkasino Steigerwald Hefeweizen ].
Murky medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, moderate yeasty, banana, bubble gum, fruity, clove. Flavour is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft. [20110425]

2 liter bottle@Helsinki Beer Festival 2011. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mild diacetyl along with some wheat, fruits, herbs and mild yeastyness. Flavour is quite much the same ina nice balance. Finishes quite yeasty and mildly wooden.

Koelschtrinker (8479) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 6, 2011

2L bottle shared at HBF2011 (tnx Rauchmalz). Pale head. Mild hoppy nose. Slightly hazy coppery colour. Slightly sour taste. At the end spicy bitterness. The beer was different in the top compared to that in the bottom. A bit colder than other beers tasted.

TBone (9999) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 9, 2011
Bottled 2000ml (HBF listed as "Steigerwald Hefe Weizen", no label)
Clear amber color, decent off-white head. Overriped banana in the nose, some candy too. Medium-bodied. Banana, sticky clove spiceness. Lingering yeasty spiceyness in the aftertaste.
