A very fruity and yet nicely malty strong ale. Not quite well balanced, but yet very drinkable and quite tasty. A nice hop bitterness kicks in on the finish, great lingering flavors on the palate.

On tap at the Horse Brass pub in Portland. Clear ruby red color with a thin, off-white head that left strong lacing. Lots of sweetness in the nose, like the belgian candi sugar. Tons of malt sweetness but with equal tons of hops to balance it out. It is not an IPA hoppiness (I wrote down American Strong Ale as my guess for it’s style). I really liked it and wished it was available here.
