3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from PC Market of Choice in Ashland. Pours dark ruddy copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma of roast malts with a hint of chocolate. Near med body. Flavor is roast malt, medium dark fruits, mixed hop. It seems pretty balanced on malt vs. bitter. Itís certainly more dry than not. Iím thinking the cousins might recognize this - fairly low ABV, not strongly bitter (to me), but bitter.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. bottle shared by Ferris. He had a boatload (RV load?) of these after stopping by the brewery en route to RBWG, so they were a mainstay in the Fart Dungeon, hotel, and everywhere else throughout the week. It pours a clear deep copper color with a small off-white head that settles into a ring. Notes of peanuts, toasted malts, leaves, sugars, a bit of grass and cardboard. Light-medium bodied, with low carbonation and a toasty, earthy mouthfeel. Itís fine, but not a particularly exciting style.
