cyrenaica (265), Milton, Ontario, Canada May 6, 2008 341ml bottle
5.0% ABV
I tried this beer on May 2, 2008 after purchasing a variety 6-pack of Ontario Craft Beer from one of my local LCBO outlets. The beer poured a translucent red-tinged golden colour with a generous white head that quickly dissipated. The aroma was slightly malty, a little tinge of hops, and a lot of mustiness as stated previously. The beer is thin to medium bodied with ample carbonation. The flavour has a slight sweetness to it, a little bit of caramel malt, and a little hoppish character in the end.
mabel (1391), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 4, 2008 [1265-20080406] 341mL bottle. Yeasty alcohol and grains aroma with toasted malt. Clear, amber orange body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Yeasty grains flavour with watery plastic notes. Medium body is a little watery. Not bad, nice yeasty finish. Kevman (23), Windsor, Ontario, Canada Jun 30, 2008 I was born drinking walkerville.. It’s a local beer where I live, so it’s fairly easy to come by at events. I had it on saturday at the Greek fest from a keg trailer. it came out a dark orange, with a medium tannish head. The aroma isn’t very strong, but there is a light smell of hops and malt. The taste is where it’s at, strong hops and a nice sweetness. I’ll buy it from now on, but it’s difficult to come by. Barnabus (28), Niagara, Ontario, Canada Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. Amber colour with sparse head. Aromas of mainly malt, yeast and a little fruit. Medium-light mouthfeel with corn and slight hop aftertaste. Nothing terribly different. wilderthanyou (304), Guelph, Ontario, Canada May 30, 2008 Pours an orangey amber with no head. Aroma is almost non existant, mostly just malty sweetness. Flavour is not bad, some graniness, malts, a tidbit of hops. It’s an OK beer, if nothing else, its atleast refreshing. ILduce (89), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 28, 2008 341ml Bottle: Amber with almost no head. Sweet fruity aroma. Flavours of malt, biscuits and metal. Thin, Off-dry. Unsavoury overall.
