robinvboyer (1054), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Nov 27, 2007 Another Ontario pale lager, Joy!!
very vegetal, corny aroma. Flavour is much of the same. Not really any hops to speak of, slight maltiness, but nothing more. Meh, very passable beer. KingofCastle (187), London, Ontario, Canada Mar 14, 2007 Updated: Jul 8, 2007bottle: Thanks to Lord Beamish for this from his pilgrimage to Walkerville Brewery. Again, he hits the nail on the head: for a LIGHT beer, this is superior (as the label boldly declaires). Are all the reviewers here mad? It is a light beer, of course it will lack some flavour, but it has way more flavour than any light beer I’ve ever had! Just enough hops bite and some famous Walkerville sweet malts to really round out the flavour. Thiis is the best light beer I’ve ever had & isn’t that bad compared to normal beers. Comparing this to a full bodied ale or bitter is just missing the whole point. LordBeamish (135), Boozetown, Ontario, Canada Mar 14, 2007 bottle: I picked one of these up direct from the factory in Windsor, Ontario. It’s a bold move to call your beer ’superior’ but when you produce award winning beers like Walkerville, you can justify the name choice. This is clearly superior to any light beer on the market. Having said that.....it’s still a light beer. Pours a beautiful deep golden colour with a thin white head. Some lacing is evident. It looks delicious. A sweet hops aroma leads to a pleasant mouth feel. Tastes somewhat sweet and finishes silky smooth. Surprising body for a light beer. This tastes very similar to its big brother beer, Walkerville Premium Blonde. Why everyone is roasting it remains a mystery to me. Maybe Walkerville doesn’t run enough commercials of scantily clad women or run a Maxim Golf Tournament like another light brand I know. Bizzare. Lubiere (3324), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Mar 2, 2007 A lightly veeled blonde lager with a thin lacing white head. Light caramel adjuct aroma, boiled corn. In mouth, a light chlaky malt taste, no hops, light and innoffensive. Malty mineral water. mabel (1673), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 11, 2007 [111-20061121] 341mL. Musty, slightly burnt aroma. Clear, light orange body with many fast-rising tiny bubbles throughout and a quick foamy white head. Bready fish flavour with a light metal and slightly slate watery quality. Tingly tongue feeling but nothing important. Not terrible but not good either.
