3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled @ Horsebrass Pub. I love Walking Man’s beers and this one was nice, but a little heavy on the cherries and a little too tart for me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Black with browned head. Intense whiff of cherry and roast barley from the glass. Juicy smooth mouthfeel and lack of carbonation are the most prominent weakness to this beer. Medium cherry flavor with some roast character.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
aroma reminds me of grape/cherry cough syrup, pours like you’d expect, dark black. Taste to match with some syrupy sweetness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap @ Horse Brass Pub... Poured black with a thin, light brown head. Maraschino cherries on the nose. There was some chocolate and roasted coffee undertones, but the cherries were prominent. Think black cherry soda mixed with a stout.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the Horse Brass in Portland. This is the infamous "Dr. Pepper beer" of which the less said, the better. Both tastes and smells of the dreaded aforementioned soda, and is probably the worst stout I’ve ever had. Way too nauseatingly sweet and cloying.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ Horse Brass Pub, Portland. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a sweetish malty cherry aroma with hints of chocolate. Sweetish roasted malty chocolate and cherry flavor. Has a sweet roasted malty chocolate finish with lots of cherries in the aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
7/19/08 On draught at the Brewpub. Aroma is just like cherry coke with an underlying caramel note. Appearance is nearly black with a moderate maintained tan head. Flavor is great cherry sweetness forward with a very even roast balance. Mouthfeel is full bodied with a very low carb texture. Overall, quite cool, and slightly artificial.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Unbelievable cherry chocolate aromas from this pint of pitch black madness. When served cold, the fizzy mouthfeel and nicely roasted malted flavour guaranteed smooth drinking ahead. But once this brew warms up, it just becomes a mess. The flavour turns slightly sour and acidic and the cherry aspect that was so appealing in the aroma turns into flat Cherry Coke or even worse, fruity antacid tablets! Too bad, this started off interesting. My advice: drink it fast or order a 1/2 pint.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tasted @ Horse Brass Pub in Portland.
Black colored brew. Aroma of cherries. Bittersweet flavor with fruity, cherry, taste. Some roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate as well. Pretty decent, but a bit too much on the cherries.
