A good scotch style, that wonderful combination of peat and maltiness. Ends with a nice malt note, sweeter and roasted.

10th October 2008. GABF. Clear brown beer. Crisp palate. Sweet malt - in fact remarkably sweet malt. Crisp dry finish with a sweet malt aftertaste.

On tap at Belmont Station. Pours out reddish brown with a moderate tan head. Aroma heavy with toffee and caramel malts with a light oak note. Very smooth drinker with a sweet taste of honey and caramel/toffee malts. Very pleasant.

Draft @ brewpub. This guys make some big beers and this one is big and malty. Very roasted character.

Poured dark cola-colored with a thin white head. Smells of coffee with notes of oak. Palate consists of smooth carbonation. Tastes of dark roasted coffee with malted toffee finish.

Tap @ Belmont Station... Poured deep ruby/brown with an off-white head. Buttery and toffee-malt aroma. High carbonation with candy-like flavors of butterscotch and toffee while the malted grains stopped the bitterness in the finish.

On tap at Uber a while back. Clear brown w/ small head. Weak sweet malt aroma. Sweet malt with alcohol dominating. Bland and just not much going on. Drinkable, but absolutely zero smoke/peat/earth coming through. Probably the biggest disappointment I’ve ever tried from Walking Man.

Deep ruby/brown with a small head. Smoky, woody aroma. Big malty, peaty flavour with notes of honey, smoke and alcohol. Lingering honey malt finish.

GABF 2006. The beer pours to a hazy brassy body with a white head. The aroma is peaty, sweet, smoky. The flavor is sweet with honey, smoky. Sweet smoked palate.

cloudy off brown color whispy off white head. Lightly smoky aroma burnt malt and clean grains. Full lightly creamy palate. Flavor is sweet grains hints of honey a touch of smoke and some roasty carmel notes. Pretty darn good.
