Surprisingly hefty caramel malt backbone with a huge citrus and pine hop explosion at the front and a nice bitter finish. Wonderful flowery aroma with a slight pine note. Extremely tasty IIPA and I hope to sample more from this brewery ASAP. theisti (1640), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jan 14, 2009 12 oz schooner draft at Uber Tavern at Seattle. Pour is clear amber with lots of carbonation bubbles. 1/2 inch off white head. Aroma of floral honey sweetness, a bit of pine resin. Very full nose, nice and fresh. Taste is sweet sticky resin hops, caramel, scotchy pine, nicely balanced with a big malt backbone. Palate is medium to big, coating, with the alcohol present in the aftertaste. Nice one. BillKismet (1901), Seattle, Washington, USA Jan 11, 2009 Amber color with an oily diffuse head. Feintly hoppy aroma and a body of strong Chinook bitterness with the strong presence of grapefruit throughout. A strongly bitter, but bearable IPA, though not complex and extraordinary enough to garner much attention. fakepurseninja (773), Washington, USA Dec 1, 2008 On-tap, Malt and Vine; Nice cloudy, deep hazy straw body. Mild caramel sweetness, grainy malt backbone that provides nice, big body for the impressive hop build. Mild grapefruit, pine and grass. Great floral hoppy component.
