A nice strong IPA. Beautiful aroma of citrus hops. Smooth balance between astringency and sweetness. Goes well with the garlic fries at the Walking Man Pub.

On Tap at the brewpub. Hazy medium amber. Small off white head. Persistant lacing. Subtle aroma of sweet malts and citrusy hops. Inviting. Flavor was also subdued. Very nice balance with a long strong flavorfull bitterness. A bit of the VABV comes throught to betray its Doubleness. Nice.

This beer is one of my favorite all time beers. It makes me feel stoked to live in NW Oregon. I think it is at the zenith of what a quality imperial IPA should be. Deep and chewy hoppy flavor that develops as it ages. I compare all others to this one!

Sampled from a growler thanks to goldtwins on 7/2/06: Pours a transparent light copper bronze and a nice off-white lightly-lacing head. Aroma of green piny citrus hops with some light caramel malt and mild light-struck character. Body starts with a touch of sweet toasty caramel malt, giivng way to a bigger fresher citrus hop flavor and thinning some toward the smooth finish. Very drinkable, but not that assertive.

On tap - Rose&Raindrop Portland, OR. Great high test beer, it’s a perfercly executed imperial ipa without being over the top. Full to medium body, very satisfying. Find it and try it. Go get yourself a homo or two.

Far and away my favourite double IPA. Fruity aroma with hoppiness. Full mouth with malt and hops. Caramel. Alcohol warmth without being overbearing. Nice hoppy finish that lasts.

Tap... Copper with a white head. Strong hop bitterness and a high alcohol presence. I think it being aged in the bourbon barrels accentuates this. Other sweet flavors like caramel and oak.
