On tap at Rose & Raindrop, Portland. Chestnut colour with disappearing beige head. Wonderfully balanced malt, strong grapefruit hop aroma. Lovely juicy malt in mouth and then huge IPA hops kick in

A very crisp and spicy IPA. Sampled at the Horse Brass in Portland. Very hoppy and unique. On draft!

On tap at Concordia Ale House in Portland. Hazy golden pour with a puffy white head. Surprisingly hefty caramel malt backbone with a huge citrus and pine hop explosion at the front and a nice bitter finish. Wonderful flowery aroma with a slight pine note. Extremely tasty IIPA and I hope to sample more from this brewery ASAP.

Homo Erectus aged in bourbon and oak on draught at the WM. Amber color. The aroma is oakey with bourbon. The flavor has vanilla, a mild sweetness, oak and bourbon with a good amount of bitterness. Excellent beer. Took home a growler. J

Had this during a recent trip to portland at the Horse Brass pub. Pours a light caramel with a great off-white head. Aroma is fantastic, plenty of C-hops, but not absent of malt. Flavor is full of citrus - definitely come grapefruit, but again, this isn’t just a hopbomb, I really enjoyed some nice maltiness that was just so pleasant. Some caramel and even a touch of toast. This is just a fabulous double IPA. Exactly the sort of thing I look for in the best Double IPAs.

Hazy amber with a tight head. Picked up some piney hop aromas, really too smoky here at The Horse Brass to fully savor the smell. Smooth soft carbonation. Taste is sweet caramel malts highlighting a great pine sap and floral hop show. I wish they’d bottle this brew. Classic NW style iipa.

Pours dark amber with a medium white head. Hoppy smell but not too intense or complex. Rich hoppy taste subtle malty notes. Long ever changing aftertaste from bitter to sweet.
