4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Nora’s Fish House in Hood River, OR on 7/19/07. Clear amber, large creamy white head, and superior lace. Aroma of light stone fruits and toffee combined nicely with some spice and citrus hop notes. Medium body and carboantion, slightly resinous, yet smooth and satisfying. Beautiful balance between light malt flavors and assertive citrus based bitterness. The lengthy dry finish was clean and crisp. This is a beautifully crafted beer.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Beautiful slightly hazy golden-amber. Deep, intense hop fruits (mango, orange, kumquat, wood) with some of the freshest pale malts to come through the nose of a hoppy beer. A feat even by PNW standards. Gorgeous....large bitterness from hops that flirt with florals and citrus before settling on woody. Clean, fresh-tasting, pale malts. Bracingly hoppy dry finish with that little bit of resininess to make sure you know you’re drinking a properly-hopped IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on tap at the brewpub in Stevenson, Washington during ABA Beer Tour ’07. Pours a semi-cloudy golden amber brew with a slowly dissolving white head that leaves behind a decent lacing. Aroma of light grapefruit and piney hops, and just a touch of biscuit-like malt. Taste is average carbonated, medium bodied with a sweet citrus flavor. Finish is light, crisp with a melon and sweet citrus aftertaste. Not as dry as their other IPAs.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Piper’s Creek. This is another great Walking Man beer. Medium amber, leaning to slightly dark. Big sudsy white head. Some floral hop on the nose, but the attack is nice and clean and full of citric hops. The citrus hops just keep picking up speed through the finish, which is long, clean, melon-y, and finally a bit bitter. Fantastic stuff. A beautiful counterpart to Homo Erectus, in the exact same spirit.

<!-- B -->On Tap<!-- /B --> at the brewpub. Clear light medium amber. Very good offwhite head and sticky lacing. Aroma was a bit mild on the hops for the style, but nice and citrusy. Flavor was dominated by the citrusy hop bitterness. Fairly thin, soft feel with a long, late strong bitterness.
