Nice simple IPAwith a good hop profile. Slightly citrus on the tongue, but mostly earthy body, and nice bitterness that kind of just sticks around.

Tap at Horsebrass Pub - lightly hazy orange - loads of bright tropical fruit character and citrus complimented well by a moderately sweet, clean malt base - not too bitter, but with a lot of earthy hop flavor - very nice IPA.

Dull aroma of spruce. Deep golden with thin white head. Striking bitterness with almost sticky nature. Faint traces of grapefruit emerge. Medium mouthfeel, slight thickness. The malt is evident here. Hops hold their own in bitterness more than flavor.

Cask @ Red Hot. Hazy gold pour with a foamy head which fades slowly and leaves a moderate amount of coarse lace . Grass and fruit hop nose. Medium body, light carbonation, aromas of toasted almond, ice tea, chocolate, grapefruit and walnuts. Fair enough, but not as good as WM can dO.

GABF 2010, one of the better IPA’s from the weekend. light amber orange pour, PNW hop aroma, slightly dulled down by a balanced amount of malts. Very drinkable & very well made

Lubiere (6707) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 7, 2010
A dark amber IPA with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, light sweet malts, with light berry notes and faint c-hops. In mouth, a smooth mundane IPA with light citrus hops, light alcohol, OK. On tap at Horse Brass Pub, Sept. 4 2010.

Tap. Pine, grapefruit, pretty normal NW IPA but it is very well done. I can’t find this on tap as often as I’d like and getting to their pub is kind of a pain but when I see this beer I get it!

Live rate from Horse Brass. Bright citrus aroma comes from an14 karat body with a small amount of large bubbles that left spotty lacing. Orange peel, lemongrass, and grapefruit are followed by a subtle leafy pine. Medium mouthfeel. Very good.
