Clear amber with a white head. Nice piney, floral hop aromas. Medium body. Big hoppy pine, grapefruit bitter flavors on a caramel malty base. Draft@ Taphouse Bellevue.

Pitcher at Concordia. Deep amber pour with a fairly mild white head and sticky lacing. Aroma was mainly citrus with light pine and biscuit malt. Flavor was big citrus hops and biscuit malt melding into an incredibly tasty combo. Would love to drink this one again.

Had this on tap at Bailey’s Taproom in Portland, OR. Colour... amber-orange with a thick head. Nose... citrusy hops, resinous, piney. Palate... more pine and conifer resin, citric, bitter, coating on the soft palate and throat with a loooooong finish!

Draft, a lovely darker amber with a 1 inch off-white head. Aroma is faint but mostly floral. The flavor is a nice biscuit malt and citrus hop, delicious! This beer is very drinkable.

Cask at Elysian’s SBW Firkin-Firkin throwdown (vs. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale). Pours mostly clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is floral and citrus (mostly orange) hops, biscuity malts, brown sugar, and tea. Malt character in the taste is more cookie-like. Pretty light. Easiest pick of the night- I liked this a lot better than the Sierra Nevada.

Pale yellow coloured body with no head at all! Aroma of strong malt, alcohol and sugar. Full-bodied; Strong assertive taste of of alcohol, malt and fruits. Aftertaste shows a full-bodied flavour and strong as hell. A decent beer, not ’large’, but good flavoured with malt and hops coming through most often. Overall, an okay beer - not too special though. I sampled this beer on draught at Henry’s 12th St. Tavern in Portland, Oregon on 09-September-2006.

On tap at Walking Man. A solid, but unspectacular beer. Aroma of caramel and flowers; some fruitiness. Flavor was pretty bitter for the abv. Not great flavor. Pretty bitter though. Very earth/pine/citrus.

Tap... Poured a reddish/amber with a thin, off-white head, nice lacing throughout drinking the brew. Fruity, floral hop aroma. Pretty dry, foamy palate that stripped my mouth through to the finish. A strong burst of floral hops. A little bit of alcohol snuck in but was soon muted by malted grain in the finish. Also a tiny bit of caramel sweetness. A good strong ale for hop heads.
