3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a light apricot amber with a thick white head. Smells of juicy Simcoe, earthy, and almost peach. Big hops in the mouth, nicely balaced with some caramel malt. Very smooth and easy to sip away on. A tasty brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a deep orange-amber body with a little white head. Nose of bold citrus hops and caramel sweet malts. Gritty, earthy, sharp, deep, and complex. Great easy drinking body and flavor. Finished bitter and refreshing like I would have hoped from one the Pacific Northwest’s finest.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft - Poured a darkish orange-amber in color with a small white head. Aroma was pretty strong of citrus/grapefruit hops with a bit of pine too. Flavor was nicely hoppy, but could use a bit more malt to balance it out. Not the best that I have had, but a good IPA... certainly worth repeating (and begin...).

Draft at Walking Man in Stevenson, OR on 7/22/07. Clear copper color with a white head and good lace, very inviting looking. Big citrus hop aroma, very fresh, over a background of toasted malt. Medium body and carbonation, resinous and chewy. Very dry long bitter finish balances substantial caramel malt flavors

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Last beer sampled on tap at the brewpub in Stevenson, Washington during ABA Beer Tour ’07. Pours a clear amber brew with a thin white head that quickly dissolves clean. Aroma of light bready malt, sweet and fruity pears, with a touch of pine. Flavor is medium bodied, very light carbonation with a bread-like and citrus zest flavor. Finish is slightly dry with out much aftertaste flavor.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 2, 2008 Draft at The Barking Dog. Pours a deep medium amber, clear, with gold highlights. Scant white head. Big piney nose. Big piney attack. Big piney mid-palate. Big piney finish. You starting to notice a pattern here? It’s a tour de force, or tour de hops, for sure. Tastes boozier than it is. Moderate body, low carb. Not particularly distinctive; billed by the pub as an IPA. Tastes like one--just not anywhere near the malt profile you’d expect from an ASA. Not that that’s bad at all, just sayin’--the brewery calls this something other than what at least one bar does, and it’s fairly easy to see how that happened.
Adding cask notes for 4-1-08, Park Pub. No foolin. This turns into a much more mellow grapefruit ride--still enormous bushels of that crisp and tartly bitter citric love, but everything else around it is softened and lovely. Great stuff.

Draught at ale house. Strong nose of fruit malt and hops. Beige head. Deep copper colour. Strongly hopped with full flavour, I tasted this all over my tongue. Hoppy finish like a kiss. This is a fine cool weather strong ale.
