Monster hop aroma, and I am not sure which is more over powering the spiciness or the hoppiness. Juicy, piney and full of hop oils, this is rich and full of mouthfilling flavor of grapefruit. Turning to a long bitter finish that is extremely drinkable.

UPDATED: JUL 21, 2007 First tasted summer ’06 with a 3.1 total score. Re-tasted at the brewpub in summer ’07. Beautiful bright copper colour. Citrusy, woody hops with slightly toasty malts. Deep, balanced earthiness. Woody, mossy, very grapefruity hop character. Toasty malts with a hint of chocolate. Lovely.

Draft at Walking Man in Stevenson, OR on 7/22/07. Clear copper color with a white head and good lace, very inviting looking. Big citrus hop aroma, very fresh, over a background of toasted malt. Medium body and carbonation, resinous and chewy. Very dry long bitter finish balances substantial caramel malt flavors

Had this on tap at Bailey’s Taproom in Portland, OR. Colour... amber-orange with a thick head. Nose... citrusy hops, resinous, piney. Palate... more pine and conifer resin, citric, bitter, coating on the soft palate and throat with a loooooong finish!

Cask pint pour at special brews. Pours a dark copper color with a foam cask head. Very unique pale here, I’m my opinion. Sweet melon aroma. So much hop variety flavor. Soft, sweet fruit flavor with a bitter hop finish. Can’t quite describe what makes this so different, but I like what’s going on here. Solid stuff

Pours an orange/amber with a nice white head. Tons of citrus hops throughout with a touch of hop spiciness in the finish. This tastes more like a big IPA, with a big ol hop bitter grapefruit kick in the finish.

Tap at Hood River Hops Fest. Orange/amber color with light haze. Yellowish tan head with good lacing. Aroma is of fresh hop and nothing else. Smells like a packet of hops is freshly opened, very piney and citric. Medium bodied. Damn drying hop presence. Bitter citrus. A hop head delight.

Pours a light apricot amber with a thick white head. Smells of juicy Simcoe, earthy, and almost peach. Big hops in the mouth, nicely balaced with some caramel malt. Very smooth and easy to sip away on. A tasty brew.
