7/19/08 On draught at the Brewpub. Aroma is low and malty with a very low noble hop note. Appearance is perfect; completely clear yellow with a well maintained white head. Flavor is spicy noble hops forward, followed by a moderate pils character. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a medium carb texture. Overall, not bad, but not superior to large brewery examples.

Growler Fill: Lightly misty yellow with a nice white head and good lacing. Nose is light grassy pilsner malt and some subtle yeast. The flavor is crisp and light. A subtle mouthfeel with a light bitter end. Nice helles style lager, fairly dry and bitter though without much in the biscuity category. Thanks Jeremy!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JUL 8, 2005
On tap at the Horse Brass Pub in Portland. I think i heard somewhere that this beer is specially made for the Horse Brass. This brew pours a golden orange with a small bubbled white head. Although this is supposed to be a lager it tasted much more pale ale like to me. Lots of juicy citrus hops and a fruity finish made this like a nice refreshing pale ale, didn’t quite have that lager clean taste. Very smooth with a light soft carbonation and a dry hop finish flavor.
