after4ever (1696), Brier, Washington, USA Aug 18, 2008 Draft at Brouwer’s. Pours grainy, cloudy dark brown with caramel highlights. Thick, creamy, dense tan head. Big dry biscuity nose with resinous hop showing through very faintly. Creamy medium body. Crisp woody notes, resin, and biscuit on the mid-palate. Has that Bigfoot-ish woodiness to the flavor profile, almost tastes like a BA from fresh oak; definitely no bourbon or anything in it though. bitbucket (1536), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 3, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear dark amber with reddish lights. Aroma of fruit, cola, caramel. Sweet nutty taste that mostly mirrors the aroma. Finishes with a bit of pine. Angeloregon (1823), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 1, 2008 On tap at Green Dragon in Portland, OR--Poured a deep brown-chestnut body with a malty, sweet, nutty flavor. Hoppy in the finish and well balanced. Alcohol greatly masked. Very good beer! DA (2376), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Mar 24, 2008 2008 Spring Beer Festival. Pours darker red/brown, cloudy when held up to see through it. Malty nose, fruity with a toasty cereal and sort of dry chocolate muffin flavor, kinda hard to describe, but good. Finishes hopped up and a bit yeasty like the keg might have been stirred a bit. BrewDad (1621), Olympia, Washington, USA Mar 24, 2008 4oz Taster - Spring Beer & Wine Festival - Portland OR
