Cask (gravity) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.

Clear dark black brown colour with a small, fizzy, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, strong coffee, dark roasted, dark berries. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee, dark dark roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110805]

From cask. Pours dark black with a small off-white head. Aroma is dark roasted malty and light breadish. Dark chocolate too. Bitter, fruity and dark malty flavoured. Dry and solid roasted into the finish.

Cask@GBBF2011. Quite much pitch black colour, not much head. Aroma is liquorice, mild toasted notes, some alcohol, some mild alcohol as well as mild fudgelike notes. Flavour is liquorice, alcohol, some mild resiny and smoked wooden notes as well.

Cask at GBBF 2011. Black coloured with a small beige head. Roasted aroma of dried fruits with notes of smoke. Roasted flavour of dried fruits, coffee and berries. Light roasted finish.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma with hints of coffee. Sweetish roasted oat malty chocoalte flavor. Has a roasted malty choclate finish with some creamy hints.

(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a small beige head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, chocolate, and vanilla. Flavor of roasted malt, lactose, chocolate, coffee, oatmeal, and hops (citrus) with a bitter finish.

Almost black. Slight aroma shows light chocolate, coffee and hints of oats. Rich, complex malts - milk chocolate, light coffee, toast. There’s a slight tartness and warming oatiness at the end.

GBBF. Cask. Opaque brown beer, little tan head. Smooth palate. A little chocolate, marmite and minerals. Alright - still struggling with my palate after that bloody Stone Chipolte Porter!

From the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 13/10/2007 Roast aroma. Dark coloured rich on the palate and fruity with a crisp and slightly dry roast finish.
