COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named after the Vindicator mine in the Silver Valley, it is our biggest beer to date A refreshingly mild flowery start with a nice rich, malty sweetness that balances the citrusy hop finish. Coming in at OG 1.079 and 80 IBU the Vindicator packs a wallop. We use the finest malted barley grown in Idaho along with pacific northwest hops.

this beer has a very nice color and an amazingly nice thick head creamy peach color head. very sweet smell like a nectory fruity smell. not a very good taste for an IPA to me was not IPA. very sweet with fruity flavor. not very hoppy. nice in the mouth very clean just a bit to sweet. Overall not very good IPA no hopps and very sweet. but a very good looking beer.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. I’ll begin by saying that this brew had the misfortune of following Epic’s IPA and suffered by comparison. Not terrible, but nowhere near the aggressive hop attack delivered by Epic’s IPA, more peachy and sweet with low carbo and a thinner body.

On tap it pours a deep golden hue; normal hoppiness to the aroma, though faint. OK but not especially flavorful. On tap at Wild Sage American Bistro. (3/21/11)

Tap: clear dark copper with a tight foamy white head. Aroma of pancakes and other sweetness. Interesting flavors of earthiness, wet paper bags with a bitter but flat finish. Not bad.

On Tap at the Fish Market in Coeur d’Alene. It has a nice citrusy smell to it and I thought a Malty finish for an IPA. It seems like you get this malty finish as IPAs exceed 7% alcohol content and those are the ones I personally like best. It didn’t have much head on it but still left a nice lacey finish on the glass. I tasted the hops up front with a little bitterness but the finish seemed smooth.

Bottle: Pale golden/orange pour with a large fluffy beige head. Nose is a little soapy, grainy, and grassy. At first sip it is obviously flawed... dirty florals, grain, and that plastic/phenolic taste. Too bad; the first brew I’ve had from these guys and it turns out to be a drain pour.

Bomber poured into shaker. 7% ABV. Bought at Stein’s in Rathdrum, Idaho. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a medium-sized pillowy bleach-white head with nice retention; leaves some neat spidery lace from the top of the pour line. Hundreds (thousands?) of tiny bubbles float to the surface. Doesn’t look like your average IPA. Aroma is grapefruit, citrus powder drink, fresh buttered bread. Not much pine in there for a North Idaho brew, in my opinion. Taste is bitter, but it has a sugary-sweet flavor to balance it out. It isn’t like caramel malt-sweet, which would be typical for this style; it’s just sugary. Odd. It also has a chemical taste and there’s a flavor here that is reminiscent of wort. Again, odd. Carbonation is low and the mouthfeel is creamy; medium-bodied. This is a weird beer. Not bad, just weird.

syrupy and chewy caramel toffee and butterscotch, no hyperbole - it tastes exactly like worther’s original. the finish is dry and powdery hop pellets. there are a number of things that must be done right to produce good beer. this beer staggeringly achieved none of them.
