Draft sample at Walldorff's. Hazy light grapefruit color. Heavy strawberry aroma. Sweet with a really wheat-heavy finish.

Bottled. Poured medium orange with very fine sediment and a short dusting of white head. The aroma picked up tart strawberry seeds and rhubarb with some underlying funk and grainy notes.. tangy and weird. The flavor was tart and a bit acidic with strawberry seeds and strawberry-infused vinegar leading.. very bitter and earthy rhubarb surrounded.. berry tartness, funky earth, and residual wheat and rhubarb on the long finish. Light-bodied, tangy, and bitter on the palate.. some interesting components in there and I could see what they were doing, but it wasn’t all that pleasant to drink.

Something about this felt off. It is like a really funky creamy strawberry yogurt but made into a beer.

Sampled at the MiBGSF ’10. Poured a hazy reddish orange with a white head that dissipated to the edge. Aroma was quite sweet with strawberries and there was some underlying tart rhubarb. Flavor was sweet strawberries and cream in the start with a bit of growing rhubarb tartness in the finish.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear red shaded pale yellow with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of strawberry, vanilla and a spicy rhubarb finish. The taste is strawberry, rhubarb, faint vanilla and a grainy finish. Thin-medium bodied.

Draft sample. Poured reddish amber with average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Aroma was moderate raspberry with a malt tone. Moderate raspberry sweet flavor with a good balanced sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with pleasing smooth texture and soft carbonation. Above average fruit beer.

22oz Bottle. Thanks Sean! Particular mushy-ripe strawberry aroma, with some grainy depth and a heap of confusion. Some grass. Pours a brilliant, shining clear deep rosy-peach gold, with a tall pillowy clean white head. Wow. The flavor really kicks out with some milky sweetness. Does this have lactose in it? Either that or some unfermented corn sugar. Maybe that stringy density is coming from stewed rhubarb. Body is explosive and foamy. Flavor carries gentle strawberry-rhubarb pie, jam, and pastry crust. I think the rhubarb leans forward. It seems strawberry flavor is a hard one to keep in beer. A very clean flavor profile that grows in complexity as it warms, with some vinous fruits, fresh spring dew in the garden, and some dry fruit skins. I love the play between fruit and cream on this beer, it’s completely unexpected. I think this is a very successful, fun, and inventive fruit beer. Nice work!

I got a sample of this at the ’08 MBG festival bacause it’s a rhubarb/strawberry beer and because my mom’s maiden name is Waldorf. This is a rose colored beer with a pinkish hued head. Fresh strawberry nose that was very enticing. The taste did not live up to the scent. There was a strawberry sweetness and a rhubarb tartness, and then some dirt that was harder to identify. An interesting fruit beer.

On tap at Walldorff. Sparkling pinkish-orange body, thin to medium off-white bubbly head. Very light, sweet strawberry aroma with grassy hops. Fruity body, crisp and light, with strawberry and tangy rhubarb notes, grassy hops, and a cerealy finish. Refreshing.
