TikiE (337), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jun 13, 2008 On tap with Nitro: Not a big fan, I think it makes the beer seem flat. Pours a dark color that is heavy and has a tan froathy head. Descent not as good as I hoped though. patrick767 (1403), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Apr 6, 2008 tap at the brewpub - Pours black with a very long lasting tan head. I drank it last from the sampler after nearly an hour and it was still hanging on. The nitro tap means very fine carbonation and a smooth palate. Roast chocolate malt is the main aroma and it’s joined in the flavor by some good hops balance that lingers pleasantly in the finish. It’s a very good stout. goldtwins (3731), Nesconset, New York, USA Nov 1, 2007 Tap @ Walnut: Poured a brown black color. It wasn’t opaque. Creamy tan head. The aroma was of dull roast and chocolate. Some coffee notes. The flavor was a fight between coffee and chocolate with coffee fully taking on midway through. Light body on a nitro pour. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Oct 21, 2007 Name: Devil’s Thumb Stout
