Commercial Description:
Medium body, strong malty flavor, fine dry finish. A classic brown ale. Steaks and ribs are the best choices for our hearty, big-bodied Old Elk Brown Ale.

On tap: Pours a ruby brown color that tastes of malts with hints of chocolate. Smells of sweet chocolate as well, it was a bit funky but decent.

tap at the brewpub - Pours dark brown with a mild caramel malt aroma. As expected the flavor is also dominated by the caramel malts. That’s usually what brown ales are all about. There’s minimal hops presence here. It’s light bodied and really uninspiring.

Gorgeous garnet color with silky head. Bland blend of hops and malt in aroma and flavor with a metallic finish. Medium body. Boring.
