bkelley68 (468), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Jan 10, 2005 dark brown pour. Bubbly head. rasted malt nose with a little bit of diacytl like buttler. Toasty flavors with a wierd off flavor that kinda tastes like they didn’t clean all the cleaning solution out of the lines. Not much hops in any aspect of the brewing process. acrdz (4361), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jan 10, 2005 Cask. Medium brown color, light for a porter. Big head initially, then fragmenting into bubble blotches. Coffee and butter nose, but light and sweet. Toffee notes as well... some juniper or spruce flavor, scotch finish... overall a tame palate, like no hops were used... light scottish ale and milk chocolate flavors in the finish.
