Apr 6, 2008 tap at the brewery - Pours clear medium amber colored with a caramel malt aroma. The flavor is caramel malt and mild hops. The hops are lighter than the other "red" they were selling, the fire chief red, on the same day. This one is alright for sessions.

Nov 2, 2007 Tap @ Walnut: Poured a clear red maber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of sweet toffee and mildly fruity malt. Some earthiness. The flavor was of caramel sweet malt. The hops are earthy with some citrus on the end. Medium body and semi-dry.

Jul 11, 2007 Tap. A dark and typical red ale. A mild body with a great aftertaste. A tan frothy head. Much better than Killian’s.

Jun 25, 2007 Orange-maroon color with light head. Little detectable aroma or flavor, though no detracting characteristics ale--in other words, a fairly standard red ale, that is easy-drinking, mild, and medium-bodied.
