Jerre (1399), Waregem, Belgium Sep 22, 2007 Bottle, 25 cl. (painted bottle) Thanks to David Bles.
Aroma fruity, malts, a bit hops. Thin body. Taste malty, a little hops, sweet.
Very neutral pilsener. Miksu (1291), Jyväskylä, Finland Jul 11, 2007 Draught at the a pub at Laarne (pub with no name, just a pick-up pils sign). Pale golden color. Mild aroma of maize, honey, watermelon and some fruitiness. Light flavor with some maltiness, bitterness and acidity. Hildigöltur (5056), København Ø, Denmark Dec 13, 2005 Bottled at the bar on the corner just across the street from the brewery gates in Laarne. I think it was called Rosie or something like that. Nice looking bottle. Deep golden coloured. Hoppy and grainy aroma. Sweet malty flavour with a grassy hop finish. Balanced and refreshing. JorisPPattyn (4500), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 22, 2005 Hazy yellow-gold (cold haze?); fluffy dirty-white head, leaving shards of lace. Very grainy nose, straw, fresh yeast . Markedly sourish tang around corn flakes, (green)malt in the background; just a bit of sweet, bit herbal. Light bodied, but some grist slickness. Surprising pils. Sourishness is particular, but not off-putting. This ought to have a much wider public. The only small (pils!)brewery in Belgium malting its own! skortila (2433), Bunnik, Netherlands Oct 25, 2004 (Dutch Ratebeermeeting) Aroma of hops and some citrus. Pale, yellow coloured with a thin white head.Hops and citrus in taste. Bit soury. Not too good. Quite neutral palate.
