Glouglouburp (5936) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 17, 2013
In short: A basic sweet fruity belgian blonde ale. Boring.
How: From a bottle at Montreal Mondial 2013.
The look: Partly cloudy dark blonde body topped by a small white head.
In long: The low-profile nose is slightly fruity (apples, bananas), a bit dusty and a light presence of phenols. Taste is very apple-cider, a certain spiciness (no specific spices), husky grains, a white sugar sweetness, young bananas. Medium body and tickling active carbonation. For a beer classified as a Saison and with the word Farmhouse in its name this beer sure didn’t feel like a Saison to me. Not sure why this beer is even listed as a Saison, this beer is not what it claims to be, what a ripoff, like this push-up bra I bought, not only is it very uncomfortable but it doesn’t even help me doing more push-ups.

2013-06-01. Hazy orange body tiny off white head fades. Bottle may have been open for a while. Aroma of citrus, oranges, lightly oily orange peel. Whisper of spice? Maybe? Flavour is pleasant, bit mild. Light bitterness, sort of fruity, light citrus undertones, orange, hints at lemon. Average bodied palate, pretty low carbonation suggesting that it was not recently opened. Pretty nice, enjoyable. Bottle at Mondial de la Biere 2013, Montreal

Aroma fairly bold. Hop sided (high alpha) , floral, citrusy with caramel malt base. Nice.7+
Appearance
Top:off white creamy large cap.
Base: hazed amber gold.
Palate : soft fairly drinkable medium bodied ale.
Taste:earthy , nutty fairly sweet for saison.
Other notes: Milder for style , with interesting nutty elements. Saison?

Pours dark golden with no head or lacing. Notes of apricot, maybe some yeast. Lively acidic bite with a sticky body. Too sweet for my preferences for this style.

Bela cerveja. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

average frothy white head. fair lacing. fully diminishing. clear thin dark orangeish-amber body. aroma: mosto, honey, white wine, pineapple, moderate yeasty. if: moderate sweet. ff: moderate sweet light bitter; long duration. palate: light medium body, watery texture, medium carbonation, metallic finish. sabor colonial, frutado, permeado por leve sabor de levedura, falta nuances pra igualar uma saison belga, dulçor tem características de sidra, 30 s

saison interessante, abacaxi, amendoes e café, é refrescante, porém ficou condimentada demais, faltou característica de fermento belga.

Pours a dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is fruity, lime, pineapple with hints of coffee. Taste is also fruity, with some coffee and nuts. Pretty nice.
