Labeled Belo petroleum opened up with no Pop from the cork ... pitch black oily pour with a thin orange head stains the glass type of beer .... Aroma of tar, tobacco, licorice, deep roasted malts and cocoa .... Taste is of dark bakers chocolate/cocoa, tar, tobacco, Roasted coffee and light licorice .... Mouthfeel is flat and slick/oily viscous .... Very well done and the abv is hidden very well for 11% ..... finishes thick, dry and lightly bitter ... Nice

On tap at @Stadtjever, Belo Horizonte. Solid black, brown and persistent head. Aroma of toasted malts and coffee. Very liquorous, take your time to drink it. Quite aftertaste bitter, but mostly from the toasted malt. Great Imperial Stout, will drink it again.

375ml c&c bottle shared by Bob F. Poured a thick black color with zero head. Aroma of oak, dark chocolate, tobacco, vanilla, and booze. Taste mimics the nose with some earthyness, and a toffee/caramel finish.

Bottle: Poured a sludge black with no carbonation and light ring around the edge. Aroma is strong alcohol and chocolate. Wow huge roasted coffee with sweet molasses and lots of alcohol, dry cocoa finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle bought in Belgium as Belo Petroleum, 11% abv. Pours jet black, almost flat, although a few very dark brown bubbles can be coaxed. Aroma of fruity coffee and cocoa. Taste is rich dark chocolate, licorice, mostly on the sweet side but with a dryish finish with just a touch of alcohol heat. Tasty and very drinkable despite high abv.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2014 375ml bottle served in a pint glass.
A: Pours a black oiled color forming minimum head. Low retention and no lacings left
S: Roasted malts. Caramel malts. Toffee. Dark chocolate
T: Slightly sweet upfront. Roasted malts. Toffee. Dark chocolate. A little bit sour. I guesd that the high temperature screwed it.
M: Heavy and very creamy body. Low carbonation. Roasted aftertaste
O: Good drinkability. Authentic Imperial Stout made in Brazil
