Bottle. Hazy dark orange with very small foamy white head, slight citrusy aroma, low carbonation, sweetish malt taste, long finish with orange peel aftertaste. Quite a good attempt at an Abbey Tripel.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at Delerium Cafe in Rio de Janeiro. Deep hazy gold with a pillowy white head that retains nicely. Yeasty fruity aroma, with flavours of pineapple, peach, and candied oranges, light phenols. A surprisingly excellent trippel!

Uma cerveja agradavel, um tanto refrescante, mas, quando comparada com outras do mesmo estilo, pode ficar aquem.

Brought this back from Zona Sul in Rio De Janeiro, Ipanema. I can’t believe that such a great Belgian beer can come out of Brazil; this blew me away. It completely welcomed me back into enjoying tripels!

Beige, cloudy, big fluffy head. Yeasty aroma, light pear note. The taste is dry, yeasty light with lots of dried apricot. Austere but complex tripel, I like it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Delirium in Rio. Nice packaging (corked caged and classy bottle). Blonde and nicely headed. Aroma is yeasty and heavily fruited, but the flavors are dry and sophisticated. The overripe pineapple becomes dried apricot and finishes with a herbal tea dryness that makes this trippel tipple surprisingly moreish. Well done!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
375mL bottle, brought back from Curitiba, Brazil. Pours a hazy, golden orange color; creamy, persistent, glistening white head with great retention, lacing. A nice melange of ripe bananas and honeyed sweetness tempered by pepper and clove notes; pinpoint focus here: slightly more fruity and layered than the average tripel profile, but restrained sweetness and nothing sloppy; damn fine aroma. Medium-full body; creamy palate with Champagne-like carbonation; a touch more fruit-driven ripeness and hints of rounded caramel than offered in the nose, broadening the palate somewhat beyond the traditional profile I’d expect from a tripel, but that white pepper and well-hidden alcoholic leanness still play their parts here; possible a touch of oxidation here opening things up as well: clove, white pepper, apple fruitiness, vanilla, and honey. A very nicely handled tripel that meanders a bit. Medium-length finish brings out additional toastiness, honey, and hints of vanilla and pepper, almost oak-like tannins.

Boa cerveja, cor alaranjada. espuma bege de media duraçao. sabor típico de cerveja com levedura belga, frutada, potente, um pouco citrico, alcool um pouco evidente demais.
