A pale ale wheat beer with enough malt flavour to carry the 35 IBU hopiness. This is a beer that you don’t drink cold in order to respect the aroma of the NZ cascade and Pacifica.
Wort filtered to 15 plato, 35 IBU bitter hopping, bottled conditioned Best served at 8-10

Hazy golden straw in colour with a white head that sparkled and dissipated to a ring around the glass. The aroma is of spent preserving hops, dusty grass and grass seeds, lemon zest and toasted wheat. Full tingly mouthfeel developing into a refreshing sourness with lemon astringency and a definite nod toward malt. It freshens in the mouth and is quite quenching. I rather like this beer because I had to sit and think and mull it over, but in saying that it would stand up without scrutiny in a 12oz glass with lunch.
