3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The head is ok, the body gold-grey. It smells yeasty, fruity, malty. The taste is malty, bit yeasty, bit fruity. Doesn’t taste like 7.5% and doesn’t taste much like a triple. But overall ok, and a bit refrehing!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330 ml brown bottle purchased in Wanaka and consumed a few days later on Steward Island NZ. BB date of Nov. 2015.
Pours a hazy golden-amber with a fine, durable white head. Great lacing.
Aroma: Complex fruity and spicy aroma with a bit of malt and some alcohol esters.
Flavor: Similar to the aroma, with the spice notes, malts and fruitiness in very good balance. Very mildly bitter aftertaste.
Feel: medium-light body; medium-high but soft carbonation. Semi-dry and slightly astringent finish.
O: a very good, albeit atypical, tripel.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dusty dry hazy lemon yellow colour with a HUGE white fluffy head and plenty of carbonation. Just a touch of chunky sediment that accidentally made it into the glass (I’ll take the extra flavour thank you very much).
The aromas, based in those herbs, make the beer smell of floor cleaner. This isn’t a fault, it is a side effect. I quite like it. There’s plenty of earthy herb and citrus fragrance. It smells fresh. Flavours are tasty, lemon citrus, sage (although I know it isn’t there), earthy, dusty curry grinds. There’s a good amount of carbonation that keeps things lively in the mouth. The finish is a little bit shorter than I was expecting, however, there’s plenty of sherbet finish. Tasty though and a nice quenching afternoon snooze-inducer.
