Bottle. Pours with an average sized brown head over a dark ruby body. Soy sauce-like aroma. Quite subdued flavours of soy sause-molasses notes, finishing with a hint of sweetness.

Aromas of dark chocolate, a touch of orange peel. Enticing. Fruity esters. Deep brown, ruby colour. Dark chocolate flavour with a touch of tangerine at the finish. A very pleasant drop and one worth going back for.

Bottle. The toasted malt flavour was very enjoyable, with coffee and a little bit of chocolate. The hop presense is subtle. I like.

I’ve had this one in New Zealand on my honeymoon. Visited the brewery too.
Had this one from tap from the brewery pub. Dark colored, coffee flavored brew. Roasted malts.

I tried all 3 beers on tap at the Wanaka Beerworks micro-brewery. Tall Black poured beautifully. A rich malty, sweet beer, full-bodied, flavours of chocolate, coffee, slightly smokey. Appearance is a red ruby hue. Smooth on the palate.
