Tasted on 9/27/11 from a 22oz bomber bottle. Pours pale golden with some spritzy lace with no real head. The nose is sweet apple juice with just a hint of ginger spices underlying. The flavor is dry apple with a bit of dusty earth, and underlying ginger spice. The body is medium with light, but stinging, carbonation, and a long apple and spicy ginger finish.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2011 Bottle from New Beer($5.50). 6.9%abv. Unbranded tulip pour. Pale golden body. Spritzy soda head. Heavy nucleation coming from an un-etched glass. Yay! Smells oddly like a blend of whit beer & champagne. Green fruit, yeast, & something similar to coriander. Intro is crabby/tart & a bit yeasty, moving further into sour candy tartness. Bittersweet throughout, fruity, nearly brut, but not all the way. Acid seems kind of mild overall, as it turns floral, dry, & seemingly grain-like middle end on. Lemony, leafy green, & almost bone dry finish. Missing ginger that was advertised. Remains a bit simple. Glassy texture. Champagne-like carbonation. Thin & somewhat numbing. Pasty & dry. Alcohol is in check, preservatives are used sparingly. At half the price, this is a better dry then most of that Farnum Hill stuff you boobs swoon over. Yeah, it doesn’t seem to undergo a second fermentation, but there is more fruit, & the alcohol is well hidden. I have high hopes for that $15 bottle of Kingston Black though. Hmm...

Faint apple juice nose. Clear yellow. Tart, somewhat dry apple flavor. Slightly savory, which is nice. Mouthfeel is stinging. Not a big fan.

Bright golden pour. Nose had dry apples and a touch of spice. Tastes were tart with a strong acidity, green and sweet juicy apples, and finished dry and crisp.

Pale golden pour. The nose is softly sweet and appley. A little bit of light tannic apple skin character. Crisp and appley with a nice lingering sweetness. It’s simple, but pretty appealing.

Bottle. Never sure how I should rate a cider’s appearance. This was nothing special, clear medium golden yellow, no head, fine carbonation. Aroma is lightly spicy bruised apples, maybe some vanilla or honey (something imparting sweetness). Flavour is nice lightly tart apples, light gingery spice, with a chalky minerally note in the finish. Went great with our fish dinner.

22 oz bottle. Clear pale yellow with virtually no head. Aroma of ripe apples, light brown sugar and light mulling spice. Flavor is tart apple with a light sugar sweetness and slight alcohol bite. Light body with average to low carbonation and a thin, flabby mouth feel. Pretty good, carbonation seems a bit low but still very nice.

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) bright yellow, no bubbles but exceptionally clear. Nose of apple juice, sugar, a bit funky. Taste is nicely tart, sweet, apple juice, very thin body but made up for this in the awesome linger. Wandering Aengus is establishing themselves as one of the best cider producers anywhere.

(22oz bottle) Pours a clear yellow body with few small bubbles. Aroma of apple, caramel, light ginger, and some raisins. Flavor of apple, light lemon, and some pear.
