Tap at The Pony Bar, NYC. Pours a dark, shiny brown with a small, tan head. Roasty cocoa in the nose. Medium to big sweetness in the flavor, great dry roast malt notes, chocolate, subtle earth and tar, some burnt wood. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Mild warmth in the finish, lingering burnt sugar and roast. Really great stuff.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at RnH. Rich, roasty aroma. The flavor is strongly roasty and pretty sweet - molasses, marshmallow, light acidity. A really good stout, and the best release so far from Wandering Star.

On draft at the brewery. Pours a midnight black, pure darknees and solid molasses. head is hight to start, then fizzles to engulf the glass moderately throughout the brew. Taste is light chocolate, slight fig and plum, roasted cocoa and deep burnt granola. Aby is well hidden and was surprised to find out it was at 9.6% when sampled. A fine brew here and one to share with others to not only impress but to enjoy. Ill be back for the rest. A 5 mintue drive it all it takes....

Nice dark color. Roasted malts a-plenty. Lacks the depth of some other imperial stout, but not bad.
