A truly multicultural beer. We started with a recipe of a classic oatmeal stout, and then started heading south. We picked up some vanilla beans in mexico, and then made a stop in columbia for some coffee before heading back north. The result is a deliciously drinkable beer with enough coffee and vanilla in it to give you an impression that one of these might be just as good with your morning cereal as your dinner tonight.

This is one that is one step from perfect. And for abv it is pretty awesome. Creamy and chocolate flavors. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Wanderlust. Black pour with a thin tan head. Coffee and roasted malts on the nose. Some coffee grounds, vanilla, and roasted nuts. Not bad. Flavor is fairly heavy on the coffee and vanilla. A lot of coffee grounds, toasted walnuts, and ash. Sort of bitter. Slightly chalky as well.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2016 Poured up at Flanny’s Arizona on Tap Festival with a deep dark mahogany body that has coppery amber like edges and supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dark roasted malts mixed with malt sweetness and a touch of vanilla and caramel. The taste has dark roasted malts, a thin river of burnt malts and then sweeter notes coming from both straight up maltiness and caramel malts. Well beneath these notes is a touch of vanilla that’s banging around in the background. Pretty nice stuff.

Vanilla forward with roasty aroma. Taste is more vanilla than coffee. Very tasty brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at Arizona Strong Beer Fest, 2013. Very pronounced vanilla notes in aroma and taste. Good, but not roasted, stout base. Surprisingly low ABV for the flavor. Almost a session stout!

On tap at Satchmo's BBQ in Flagstaff on 02/06/13 Really nice smooth stout. Light roasted coffee flavor cut down the middle by vanilla bean. Nose is heavy in vanilla. Very well balanced and drinkable. Would love to try this on a nitro tap.
