Wapping Connoisseur Black Smoker

(Cask at Baltic Fleet, Liverpool, 24 July) Colour is dark brown with a thick off-white head. Nose is roasted with chocolate and delicate smokey notes. Taste is malty with chocolate, some fruity hops and a dry smokey finsih. Medium to full body, but smooth mouthfeel. Nice one.

Cask Handpump at the Community Centre, Frodsham 06/05/2006 White head. Fruity and roast aromas. Dark coloured and hoppy with some sour fruit flavour. Some bitterness in a crisp dry smoked finish.
