Cask at GBBF 2006. A pitch black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet roasted, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry end.

Cask@GBBF 06’. Deep black. This is a wonderfully roasty stout, with roasted malt/mocha notes and some slightly smoky/charcoal characters. Nice length and decent bitterness on the finish. 5%ABV, so not so heavy, this was very well balanced.

Cask at GBBF 2006. Black colour with no head. Chocolatey stout. Great stout, bit of sour, but well balanced, not powdery. Excellent stout and my first dark beer from this brewer.

Cask (gravity) @ The National Winter Ales Festival 2008, Manchester, UK. Clear dark brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, licorice, medicine. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (170108)

Cask (handpump) at GBBF, August 2006. Day1, beer #29.Near black in colour. No head to speak of (surprising for handpump dispense(. Big, rich coffee aroma. Dry, roasty malt, berry fruit and espresso coffee in the flavour. Finishes dry, bitter and firm with plenty of grip. A very appealing stout.
