(Cask at Baltic Fleet, Liverpool). As black as can be, medium sized beige head. Roastiness and coffee dominate in sweet aroma, some licorice also there. Medium bodied. Flavor is richer with good smoky coffee tones, also some sweet caramel and roastiness there. Aftertaste dries mildly. Not very original stout.

Cask at GBBF 2006. A pitch black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet roasted, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry end.
