Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of wheat as well as lighter notes of lemon. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, lemon, and wheat. The body is light. Boring.

Pours a fizzy light yellow with a white head. Has a nice fruity vinuous aroma with some nice rounded subtleties of apples and bananas. Rather lively on the mouthfeel. The flavor is a bit bland with a touch of a vinuous quality. Lightly fruity, but the finish is rather short.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a large bubbly white head that dissipated to a thin lingering white head. Aroma is sweet and has notes of banana, bubble gum and coriander. Flavor is similar with sweet banana and an underlying citrus and coriander.

This is excessively carbonated as a reasonable pour into my 25cl tulip glass nets me maybe a finger of beer and a glass full of pale foam. The beer is a hazy straw color. the aroma is quite fruity smelling with aromas of pear, Macintosh apples and star fruit mixing in with lightly tart wheat notes, some hay like grain notes and a touch of saltine cracker character. The finish seems to have a touch of mustiness to it and maybe even a bit of soap character.

Fairly dry tasting, with a distinct clove character that finally makes me understand this is a HefeWeizen and not an American Wheat beer. Lightly tart with a touch of pear-like fruitiness up front, this beer finishes with lightly spicy phenolics and a hint of hop bitterness. This is quite light and refreshing, definitely a good hot-weather-drinking beer. It doesn’t have the chewiness of the best examples of the style, but this is more than serviceable.

Not bad, perhaps a touch too spicy in the finish, but still quite drinkable and definitely better than any standard American Wheat beer would be.

Thin white head of fine bubbles that dissipate quickly. Light carbonation. Light lemon grass aroma with some citrusy hops, pale malts and some straw. Color is a clear golden orange. Dry and acidic flavor. Dry grass, herbs, a pretty strong helping of bitter hops and some light bready malts. Once you get past the bitterness this is a decent brew. Finishes bitter and dry with a lingering spicy hoppiness. A decent hefe but surprisingly free of wheat particulates.

12oz bottle from cbkschubert. Nose of bananas, light spiciness, and yeasty bread. Hazy yellow with a medium pale yellow, glass lacing head. Flavor is banana, pepperiness, and a slightly bitter finish. Decent hefe!

Bottle. Hazy yellow-gold with a decent head. The aroma is mildly yeasty, and vaguely fruity. This drinks with a very light body, with a very well balanced and drinkable balance of traditional wheaty characteristics. Not exactly a true hefeweizen, but a decent American wheat, and one that I think they could’ve sold a lot of, if they’d have stayed in business. Sorry to see them go. (#3750, 11/22/2009)
