DWestrick (183), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA Jan 22, 2008 Updated: Mar 20, 2008 This is really good and brewed especially for my favorite bar in Fort Wayne (JK O’Donnells). Not a big fan of the other warbird beers but this one is their gem. This one should be marketed with the others.
jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Sep 1, 2008 @Indiana Beerfest-pours a light tan head and red/copper color. Aroma is medium malt-slight chocolate. Taste is smooth medium malt-slight chocolate which off sets the coppery hops. Mild carbonation. rkuhnel (1139), Eureka, California, USA Aug 10, 2008 Served in a pint glass at Biaggi’s in Fort Wayne, Indiana this came an attractive red color with off-white head and light lacing. Nose off caramel malts with a hint of burnt bread in the back, and some grassy hops. Rich and creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is heavy on the caramel mats, and the finish is slightly sweet with a hint of ripe fruit .Very easy to drink and enjoyable. jsquire (1899), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Jun 28, 2008 This poured a deep reddish brown color with a thick, foamy khaki colored head. Malty nose caramel sweetness. Refreshing beer, but I’ve been working in the garage. Caramel and toffee sweetness with lots of nuttiness and some burnt toast in the finish. Light body that goes down easy. Nothing special, but a fine session beer. thedm (3406), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jun 28, 2008 This draft brew from a restaurant poured a small sized head of foamy off-white colored bubbles that were fully diminished and left behind a transparent softly carbonated red brown colored body. The mild aroma was brown malt Irish Red malty and nutty. The crisp semi-thick mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of nutty and Irish red malt. An OK brew just nothing special. EithCubes (1825), Indiana, USA Jun 26, 2008 Updated: Jun 27, 2008My 800th rating for the US. Bottle. Nose has caramel and toffee, toasted grain, almost entirely malt, save for some light grassy citrus. Deep mahogany-chestnut pour with a short beige head. Taste is bittersweet, full of toasted grain and strong caramel and toffee, lightly spicy and nicely dry. Light body, dry with just a touch of dark pitted fruit. Great session
