Cornfield (4254), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Feb 15, 2007 A drinkable wheat beer, but not much of a hefeweizen. The body is a cloudy yellow and it’s got a slender fizzy head that vanishes almost immediately. There’s a faint banana scent to the aroma, very faint, but mostly it’s wheat with a lemon twist. It tastes lemony and the banana does have a greater presence, but again it’s mainly lemon and wheat. Crisp tart finish. A passable lawnmower beer.

BBB63 (3681), La Porte, Indiana, USA Oct 8, 2007 Bottle and served in Ayinger glass: Pours a nice cloudy golden hue with a fading fizzy head and spotty lace. The aroma has esters of banana, clove, pepper, herbs and grass, wheat, pale malts, and some butterscotch. The taste starts with a fruity note and some light grassy bitterness. Wheaty and biscuity with a hint of yeast as well. The finish displays a note of spice and just a dash of bright acidity. The mouth feel is lively and crisp, refreshing and enjoyable, dry finish. I pretty solid example of the genre. Tmoney99 (3429), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 6, 2006 Updated: Aug 7, 2006Draft sample at IBGF 06. Hazy white color with a large creamy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Sweet wheat aroma. Light to medium body. Sweet wheat flavor with a sweet finish of moderate duration.
