stravale (2052) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - FEB 19, 2014
Can from Tesco, Longford [190214]
Pale yellow, clear, big frothy white head
Aroma of fairly sweet pale lager malts, touch of spicy pils hop
Taste of quite sweet pale lager malts, slight sweet pale honey, dab of bitter pils hop, very slight fruitness in there
Palate - Medium carb, light body, fairly oily texture. Finish as main flavour with a light bitter bit metallic tail
Overall - Reasonably drinkable for a macro lager. Not too bad

500ml can, shared by djoeye. Decent white lager head, some of it remaining. Clear golden body. Vague aroma of grain, hints of mid-dry fruits. Modest taste of fruit and bread, little more. Has got a metallic and papery touch on the swallow. Dull and empty (Tromsø 30.01.2014)

djoeye (1230) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JAN 30, 2014
White head on bright golden body. Scents of yellow apple, bread, malt. Mild hops in the background, sweet malts and bread and grains in front. Crispy fresh to palate, and ends with malts and bready notes. Overall alright but not exciting. (50 cl can 5.6% b@Carrefour Chelm PL enjoyed@PolishRating with Rune 30thJan)

500ml can from Lidl. Pale, no head. Some grain in the aroma, flavour is clean and uncomplex, verging toward the bland. Light body, short finish, fizzy mouthfeel. You know the deal.

Bottle, 500 ml, Piwiarnia Warecka, Poznan. Pours golden yellow. Thin body, malty aroma. Industrial lager and not a good one.

Straight from 500 ml can. Aroma and taste is fairly standard, pale malt, alcohol, metal and hay. Pretty rich and full for a cheap beer. All in all: not too bad

Standard blonde coloured beer with a nice texture. Quite a lot of bubbles. Nothing special compared to most known polish beer brands.

500 ml. can @ home. Procured from Anna Maria in Antwerp. BBF 03/04/2014. Looks like sparkling apple juice with a disappearing synthetic white head. Smells of sweet malt, lemon, sweet hay & grains and actually faint hops. Pastes of sweet malts & grains, sweet grains, lemon, faint minerals & light hops, sweet plastic honey, this is pretty sweet with faint grass. No metallic taste whatsoever. Mouthfeel is a bit that of soggy cornflakes, high carb. For a pale lager this is actually good, this actually overall more or less okay.

Can, UK. Not as strong tasting as its strength suggests, it feels fairly ordinary but its strength does help in giving it a good firm body. Light golden lager, not much head.
