Its body has a golden yellow color with excellent clarity and lots of visible carbonation. Its head builds up to about a two finger tall creamy just off white head of foam that quickly settles down to a wispy thin covering. Some lacing was left at the top of the glass but the rest just slide right down the sides of the glass. There are typical pale lager malt notes with modest noble hop notes in the aroma. Overall it’s kind of sweet and lightly nutty. It tastes just like the aroma suggests. There is a pale lightly bready maltiness with a nice sweet and slightly nutty character. For balance it has a light kiss of clean floral noble hops. The finish is quick, snappy and dry with light bitterness and more of the nutty notes in the malt coming through. The texture is smooth and lively with good carbonation.

Standard malty EE beer with a twist--a bit of lightness that isn’t quite citrusy--i’ll plagiarize my predecessors and say "grassy"--but marred slightly by the bitterness at the finish. Higher-alcohol than most (5.7 vs 5) and it shows. Still, a solid and reliable beer, interesting change of pace from stablemate Zywiec

Tasted from a can. Liquor Store is delisting this, so I thought I would grab it, even if it is likely quite old. Darker than expected. Decent nose. Hop and malt balance. Kind of thick to drink. Certainly sweet. Not bad...

500ml bottle poured into a lager glass. Clear gold with a small white head. Grainy nose, with some vegetal notes and faint grassy hops. Plain flavors of bread, light malt, low bitterness with some astringency. Light bodied, somewhat harsh and quite redundant. So so.

Have to agree with Dogbrick here - GL’s Eliot Ness has the category so far beat that even though this is a good beer - it just doesn’t hold a candle...

Tasted in Toronto from LCBO. Medium to dark yellow colour. Very minimal and thin white head. Dry slighly bitter aroma, but with a very slight hint of malt. Slightly sour scent also. Noticeable carbonation, balanced taste, slight bitter and slight malt with a tangy, sour finish.

Tohle pivo chutnalo výrazně jinak než to předchozí.

Poured this going erm...Honey coloured with a honey frosty head....so go figure the honey sweet taste. Obviously grain grassy malts, but the honey-fruit taste is pretty yummy for a pale lageR!
