(01.10.06) One pint, 0.9 oz brown bottle purchased from DiCarlo’s, Mundelein, IL. Drink before 06.18.06. Clear light amber beer having a diminishing average size head with spare lacing. Soft carbonation. Fresh malty hop aromas. Medium bodied that starts with light malt sweetness and citrus (lemon)/ hop flavors. Finishes dry with light malt aftertaste. Delicious refreshing fresh malty beer, probably one of the best Polish beers that I’ve had so for.

Standard malty EE beer with a twist--a bit of lightness that isn’t quite citrusy--i’ll plagiarize my predecessors and say "grassy"--but marred slightly by the bitterness at the finish. Higher-alcohol than most (5.7 vs 5) and it shows. Still, a solid and reliable beer, interesting change of pace from stablemate Zywiec

Its body has a golden yellow color with excellent clarity and lots of visible carbonation. Its head builds up to about a two finger tall creamy just off white head of foam that quickly settles down to a wispy thin covering. Some lacing was left at the top of the glass but the rest just slide right down the sides of the glass. There are typical pale lager malt notes with modest noble hop notes in the aroma. Overall it’s kind of sweet and lightly nutty. It tastes just like the aroma suggests. There is a pale lightly bready maltiness with a nice sweet and slightly nutty character. For balance it has a light kiss of clean floral noble hops. The finish is quick, snappy and dry with light bitterness and more of the nutty notes in the malt coming through. The texture is smooth and lively with good carbonation.

Burk.

Can, 500mL. Home. Gift from Pawel. A clear golden beer ; big white head with a medium retention. Herbal aroma, light caramel. Light to medium sweet, light bitter poorly refreshing. Light body, thin texture, soft carbonation, short bitter finish. Overall, poor, light taste/palate. Drinkable.

Tasted from a can. Liquor Store is delisting this, so I thought I would grab it, even if it is likely quite old. Darker than expected. Decent nose. Hop and malt balance. Kind of thick to drink. Certainly sweet. Not bad...

500ml bottle poured into a lager glass. Clear gold with a small white head. Grainy nose, with some vegetal notes and faint grassy hops. Plain flavors of bread, light malt, low bitterness with some astringency. Light bodied, somewhat harsh and quite redundant. So so.
