Can version. Poured a nice amber color with a thick beige head. Malt and caramel aroma. Sweet malt flavor but kind of thin for a Vienna. Granted, GL’s Eliot Ness has ruined me as far as other Vienna’s go. It is nice to know that people had a beer this good 500 years ago.

500ml can, shared by djoeye. Decent white lager head, some of it remaining. Clear golden body. Vague aroma of grain, hints of mid-dry fruits. Modest taste of fruit and bread, little more. Has got a metallic and papery touch on the swallow. Dull and empty (Tromsø 30.01.2014)

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2007 Bottle... Clear golden lager with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The nose is of vanilla and other rich, creamy, mild spices... think perfect marriage of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. Very sweet flavor with lots of vanilla and other rare, rich spices and a very delicate hop presence. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Sweet, vanilla finish.
