COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It is of a beautiful dark golden colour with a deep lustre. It has the color of honey and the transparency of spring water, as well as an excellent body and taste. It is very well saturated with carbon dioxide and has a pleasant, noble hops bitter, as well as a unique malt-hops taste.

Canned. Aroma has grassy hops and sugary malts. Clear, copper coloured with a thin, white head. Taste is sweet with some hoppiness and sugary, caramel malts. For an European strong lager not that bad.

500ml can from my local East European shop. It’s a smooth, moderately clean malty lager with some caramel notes and a fair amount of pleasant, not too excessive sweetness. There are soft, not unpleasant plastic notes from the high alcohol, and some faint chemical and mouldy grass bits which can either detract or add interest depending on your viewpoint. All in all I found this a reasonably enjoyable and interesting drink.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Market Square Liquors, 500 ml bottle. Pours a sparkling, medium copper, with a thin but persistent white head. Fairly neutral aroma pick up very subtle hints of yeast and hard water - not unpleasant. Flavor has some caramel notes, some sweet cake mix notes, some honey sweetness and a touch of candy sugar and a peppery back end. Mouthfeel, very thick and smooth for the style. Not outstanding in any one area, but overall a very drinkable strong lager - lacks that industrial feel many of these seem to have.

Cereal malt aroma with sweet, amber syrup underpinnings. Slight metal in the aroma. Fair bottle, medium honey colored beer, clingy white foam. Moderately astringent and metallic, parched grain on the lips, alcohol is prominent. Not too sweet. Bocky. Vanilla, spargewater aftertaste, medium body. While not spectacular, this did well with cider braised cabbage and sausage. Market Square Liquors.

Bottle. Bronze beer with a strong head. The aroma is very spirit like, and the flavour is strong and very sweet. Overall an average strong beer.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2008 Bottle. I really thought this would be another boring pale lager but boy was I wrong. This stuff holds its head pretty well. The honey really comes through and somehow goes with the sweet malt but again, its surprisingly not too sweet.

MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - JAN 1, 2008
Bottle (500ml). Poured a pale amber with orange highlights and an average size head which didn’t last long. Aroma was of malty with some bready notes, honey and some mild toffee in the back. Taste was sweet with honey, caramel and light metallic notes towards the end. Medium bodied with a watery texture and soft carbonation and a short, slightly smooth warming finish. Hid its alcohol content well.

Light malty aroma. Pours copper with minimal head. Suprisingly and overwhelmingly sweet. Has a metallic and somewhat licorice aftertaste. Not an exciting product.
