2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: AUG 24, 2005 Bottle (500ml) - shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc at tupalev’s domicile - provided by GregClow. Poured very bubbly gold with an average slightly off-white head. Aroma sharply fruit-sweet, dusty, alcohol very aggressive after a bit of warming. First taste was a pleasing honey-sweetness with some grain balance, then the hops came in (medium), some fruity graininess, then the alcohol muscled in and stomped on everything else. Tangy and lively mouthfeel (mostly the alcohol), but too harsh on the linger - cut that booze burn down and this might be a pleasant lawnmower beer. (Extra point for the surprising honey note on first taste)

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Poured at a good temperature with a large, foamy, off-white head that soon settled down to a scummy islandand ring. Color is a clear medium honey amber with a lot of large bubble trails. Aroma is coincidently of malt, honey, hop. Flavor is mainly two parts: sweet and carbonic tang with a little bitter in back. If it weren’t for the pronounced carbonation, it would be about undrinkable. Even so.... Body is ok, while carbonation seems forced. Finish is like flavor, has significant alcohol warmth, and is totally forgettable. A fairly shallow brew. Not for repetition.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours deck stain dark with a thin cap. Tastes of honey. Winnie the Pooh would dig this stuff. Makes you wanna reach for a cider to get something less sweet. Disappointing. May pour it in the chicken on the bbq.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from the Polish Deli. Aroma is sweet and malty. The flavor is sweet, husky corn, cocoa, maple syrup. Noble hops on the finish, actually comes into balance. Not a bad Euro Lager.
