500ml can of Warka "Uznany Smak" - 5.7% - from my local East European shop. A dirty lager. Damp straw and cocoa are the outstanding features. Not good.

Typical looking lager/pilsener. Smells a bit chemically. Texture is ok, not too gassy, fairly smooth. Flavour is a bit sweet but not dominating. Unfortunately the aftertaste is a bit tongue numbing.

Bottle: Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head that fades to a ring. There is a presence of noble hops in the aroma behind a light grainy, grassy nose with some weak caramel sweetness. The flavour is sweet like corn syrup with some grassy hops and a very sweet malt finish. There is a lack of hop bitterness and finish is like sweet cereal grains and refined sugar. Ugh. The palate is syrupy and slick with a not-so-dry finish.

Pours a thin head with a clear amber color. the aroma is very distinct in that you cna really smell the hops, and hint of lemon. There is creamy bitterness on the tip of your tounge. the aftertaste is a bit bready and grainy. It does have smooth texture for the ammount of carbonation that is in it. Not too pleased with the finish dry leaving my feeling nasty with hints of that bread in the back of my mouth.

Pours a clear golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma is corn and malt with some subtle hoppy notes. Flavor carries some corny and bready notes and finishes moderately dry. Light bodied, slick texture. Big carbonation.

Canned. Grassy aroma. Clear, golden coloured with a thin, white lace. Taste is sweet, has some grassy hops, some malts. Overall weak and watery.

Bottle. Bronze coloured beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly dry and the flavour is malty and lightly dry. Overall a fairly standard Polish beer.

KAggie97 (3149) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - JAN 12, 2008
Bottle. Pours a lively yellow with a nice, unoffensive skunky lager smell. Nice head of white sits atop the body of the beer. Syrupy malted corn flavor with hints of store-brand cereal. Skunkiness makes an appearance again. Watery mouthfeel with no ’oomph.’ Just another run-of-the-mill crappy lager from the Eastern front.
