Aug 3, 2008 Dusseldorf, Germany. Light brown beer with a strongish fizzy head. The aroma is lightly roasted and gently malty. The flavour is gently roasted and lightly malty with a burn’t finish. Overall a nice malty beer.

May 5, 2008 Somewhat flabby Altbier with not much bitterness to recommend it. On tap at the Frankenheim pub in Dusseldorf. Poured a classic copper-brown with thin off-white head. Malty, sourdough nose. Flavor was lightly sweet, quite malty, going into a bready sourness, very thin layer of bitterness. Refreshing but I would have preferred a hoppier kick.
